Selous Kinga Lodge is a naturalist’s dream reserve offers you superb hideaway with a unique mix of luxurious lodging and an authentic wilderness experience.

Selous Kinga Lodge has 8 contemporary African styled safari cottages and two ultra-luxury tented accommodations, beautifully designed and furnished in a romantic equipped with en-suite facilities, private bathroom, a lounge and spacious bedroom area which is either double or twin bedded. There is an outside veranda with comfortable seats to closely enjoy the sounds and smell of the African bush and the sightings of resident game passing by. Staying at this 20 beds safari lodge is an excellent and memorable experience filled with adventurous wild nature moments by the day and romantic relaxing ambiance by the night.

An eclectic of furniture gives the lounge a ‘Swahili Coast’ feeling to it while modern furniture in the lounge and dining area complement the dining experience created by the incredible chefs every day. It’s a wonderful place to sit down, relax, share the stories, plan for the next activities, have chilled drinks and finally enjoy a sumptuous meal freshly prepared just for you.

A lovely designed swimming pool is there for a swim between the activities and there are a good number of comfortable chaise loungers to relax on by the pool and soak in the refreshing rays of the African sun.

Sand Rivers Selous:  Its site is located deep inside the Selous Game Reserve, overlooking a wide curve of the Rufiji River, streaked with sand banks and girdled by rocky outcrops.

Its 5 standard rooms, 3 suites with plunge pools rise upstream along the riverbank from the main parts of the camp, all have a similar design – open-fronted, gable-roofed in thatch, with walls of wood and rough, whitewashed plaster. The beds are fully enclosed in mosquito nets and there’s a comfy sofa and table at the foot of the bed just behind the deck. The bathrooms are set to one side, with their own view of the river – open as far as possible. High quality toiletries are provided

Sand Rivers also offers a good variety of long and short walks which begin from the camp, or after a short drive. The longer walks take place in the morning starting at a time to suit guests, but usually by 7am to avoid the heat of the day. Shorter walks are also offered as an afternoon activity, starting at 4.30pm and returning to camp around sunset. The camp is constantly looking at ways to help make what they do more eco-friendly.

Sable Mountain Lodge The camp is small and intimate with emphasis placed on a true wilderness experience combined with warm hospitality.

8 stone cottages are spaciously situated over the Beho Beho hillside.

Each cottage provides stylish Selous Lodge accommodation, the design element of which is in keeping with the surrounding natural environment. Each cottage contains full en-suite facilities, 24 hour solar lighting, a spring water supply and wonderful views from a private veranda over the forest towards the distant Uluguru Mts

Rufiji River Camp: The tented camp, situated in the heart of the reserve, is environmentally friendly and each tent is equipped with private bathroom and a veranda facing the river. The tents facing the sunset, with comfortable beds, walled en-suite facilities, mosquito netting and all of the comfortable equipment of a lodge. Each tent has a private veranda under a roof of local straw (makuti) that creates the perfect place for reading, writing or just resting in the shade.

The tented rooms are raised up slightly on earth mounds, overlooking the floodplain and the lake.
These mounds are covered in vegetation, and feel quite natural, and each one has been sited under its own cluster of shady doom palm trees.

Lake Manze Tented Camp: Twelve Meru style walk-in tents, each with twin or double beds, flush toilet, outdoor shower and private veranda, are perfectly situated in the Selous Game Reserve, on the shores of Lake Manze.
The Lake Manze area is one of the richest for game in the entire Selous, both in the dry and wet seasons.

There is a cool and shady thatched lodge with a dining area and a sitting area, overlooking the lake.

The camp maintains simplicity – there are no extra frills here.

Serena Selous Camp: This exclusive safari camp located inside the reserve,  offers just 12 tents, widely spaced amongst the indigenous forest. To the rear of the tent is the ensuite bathroom, which features a Victorian claw-foot bath, shower and WC. Each tent is tastefully furnished with luxury double or twin beds, polished rosewood furniture, opulent rugs and crystal chandeliers. Each tent also enjoys its own extensive private sun-deck, loungers and river views.

Africa Safari Camp: The Camp is located outside the game reserve , boarder to the Mtemere gate.

Africa Safari Camp has capacity to cater 80 Pax. It has 23 rooms, a traditional huts, which  are spacious with comfortable beds & ceiling fan, each with its own bathroom with toilet, hot water and shower.

Swimming pool is available.

All with hot water forest showers, European toilets and bathrooms, ceiling fans and charging points for mobile phones and cameras.

Our restaurant offers a full board service and all meals are freshly made from local ingredients by our excellent staff.
