The Blue Oyster is a small and cosy family-run hotel, directly adjacent to the white sandy beach of Zanzibar. We are situated in Jambiani, a small traditional fishing village on the south east coast. As a responsible tourism certified hotel we place a strong emphasis on co-operating and working together with the local community.

Blue Oyster Hotel features traditional Zanzibari furniture and tile floors, the airy rooms come with free Wi-Fi, mosquito nets and ceiling fans, as well as balconies with views of the Indian Ocean or the property’s tropical gardens. There’s no air-conditioning.
Amenities include massage treatments and a library, as well as a beach bar and an international restaurant with a sea-facing balcony. The property offers local tours and fishing or sailing excursions.

11 Sea View rooms are equipped with traditional Zanzibari furniture made of local materials. Naturally, the carved, wooden Zanzibari king-sized beds come with mosquito nets. Your ensuite bathroom contains a shower and a toilet. Further furnishings of the 20-square-meter rooms include a table, wardrobe and fan.

4 Garden View rooms are situated around the courtyard and are only steps away from the ocean. They are equipped with traditional Zanzibari furniture made of local materials. Naturally, the carved, wooden Zanzibari queen-sized beds come with mosquito nets. Your ensuite bathroom contains a shower and a toilet. Further furnishings of the 14-square-meter rooms include a table, wardrobe and a fan.

Karafuu Beach Resort:  located at  the east coast of Zanzibar, ideally located on a blissful stretch of palm-fringed beach with white sand and dazzling blue water – just what you’re after.

The spacious, cool reception area under makuti (palm thatch) is impressive; especially when you’re visiting the resort for the first time. There is an enormous pool around which you’ll find guests soaking up the sun. The hotel has all the expected facilities: fully-equipped Diving center, boutiques, tennis courts, Gymnasium and Spa. The eastern side of the island is greatly influenced by the tide. You can sunbathe on the beach and slip straight into the water and swim far out when the tide is high. When the tide recedes, you have to wade out to the fringing reef, which can be fun if you want to look for marine life in the shallows.

28 Garden rooms a bit smaller than the cottages, located at the top of the slope in the lush tropical gardens. All have easy access to the long stretch of beach.

20 Bondeni Rooms, located inside the “Bondeni area” which includes pool restaurant, pool bar and air-conditioned fitness centre.

Situated at the top of the slope in the lush tropical gardens all facing the “bondeni swimming pool” all rooms has same dimensions of the Garden rooms and some of them have double veranda.

16 Masai Pool Rooms, completely new built near the botanic garden, around the new swimming pool.

All the rooms have same dimensions of the Bondeni Rooms but they are decorated in a typical Masai style.

All the rooms have makuti (palm- thatch) roofs and are decorated in a modern style with some Zanzibari characteristics. They are all well – maintained and comfortable, with air-conditioner, ceiling fan, television,

Wi-Fi, mini-bar, telephone, tea-coffee maker, hairdryer, safe box and en-suite spacious bathroom. Each room has its own veranda and the beds have mosquito nets.

Mnarani Beach Lodge:  is a quaint hideaway lodge, located at the quieter flank of the Nungwi Peninsula on Zanzibar’s North Coast.

14 standard rooms: 8 are in small bungalows and the remaining 6 are in bigger bungalows with 3 rooms being on the ground floor and other 3 on the upper floor.  Each room has got it’s on private verandah or balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens.
